Carrie Brown


Carrie Brown is the Margaret Banister Writer-in-Residence at Sweet Briar College in Virginia. 

She is the author of five novels, including, most recently, The Rope Walk, and a collection of short stories.

Brown has received numerous awards for her work, including a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, the Barnes and Noble Discover Award, and the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize. She is twice the recipient of the Library of Virginia Book Award.
